Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to September.
I’m not sure if you’re aware, but many noteworthy events have occurred on the 1sts of September past.
Let’s take a little trip down memory lane.
In 1532 Lady Anne Boleyn was made Marquess of Pembroke by her fiancé, King Henry VIII – spoiler alert – it didn’t end well.
In 1774 Massachusetts colonists rose up in the bloodless Powder Alarm. Having never heard of this revolt, { +1 for my public school education } I’m not really sure how it ended. Probably not too badly, it was bloodless after all.
In 1878 Emma Nutt became the world’s first female telephone operator when she was recruited by Alexander Graham Bell.
In 1914 the last passenger pigeon, a female named Martha, died in captivity in the Cincinnati Zoo – sad.
In 1972 Bobby Fischer beat Boris Spassky to become the world chess champion. King me! Wait, that’s checkers.
And on the 1st of September 2012, I tried BB cream for the first time.
Wow.
And dewy.
And a little bit magic, just like it says on the bottle.

I feel like I’m the only person who hasn’t tried BB cream. I must get on this.
Isn’t it just the most amazing stuff? I’m a fellow recent convert and, yep, magic is what it is. Just leaves me wondering why I didn’t try it before!

I’ve been a big fan of Origins Vitazing for awhile and never realized that was a BB cream! Love that stuff.
And what even is bb cream, really? Part moisturizer, part SPF, part foundation and part something magical that makes your skin look better the longer you wear it. It’s magical! x
I use the garnier one and it is astounding!
